No events at the moment
As part of a wider effort by the staff and students at North East Futures UTC, we are taking part in fundraising events to raise money for St Oswald's Hospice. The money raised will go towards supporting staff, volunteers and patients during the current difficult times.
Between now and September staff will walk, run and cycle with an aim to get to 5500 km, as part of the wider effort to fundraise for this amazing cause.
On the 7th of May many of the staff at the UTC will be taking part in specific events for a day of fundraising.
THE ROUTE
We will be following a virtual route throughout our challenge. Leaving North East Futures UTC in the centre of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, heading down to London and across the English Channel. We will then make our way through the French countryside to Paris and onwards to the Swiss city of Geneva, before skirting round the alps to Milan in the North of Italy. From here we will head South to Rome passing Pisa on the way. Across to the Italian port city of Bari and onto the historic Croatian city of Dubrovnik. From here we will head South towards the Greek capital of Athens, passing through Albania on the way. We will do a little bit of Greek Island hopping on our way to Turkey before finishing our journey at the edge of Europe in Istanbul.
